Producer: Château Batailley, a fifth growth estate in the 1855 Classification, has a rich history dating back to the 15th century. The name 'Batailley' is said to derive from a battle ('bataille') fought here in 1453. In 1932, the estate was acquired by the Borie family, also owners of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. Under their stewardship, Batailley has become renowned for producing classic Pauillac wines that offer exceptional value. The 2017 vintage, despite challenging weather conditions, showcases the estate's ability to craft wines of finesse and character, true to the terroir of Pauillac.
