Proudly marketed under the Délicatesse brand, the Linzer variety is known as the Caviar of the potato world!
The secret to their excellence is a soft texture, exceptional cooking qualities and delightful freshness, which means they practically melt in your mouth. They are also characterised by their remarkable sweetness and distinctly nutty flavour.
For four generations, dedicated growers in Drôme have meticulously cultivated these petite, early-harvested potatoes, earning special recognition in France. They treat them more like a prised vegetable than just any ordinary potato.
Délicatesse potatoes are planted in successive strips across different plots of land, beginning in February and continuing through July, ensuring a continuous harvest of new potatoes. This short growth cycle, between 70 to 80 days, allows growers to cultivate small-sized potatoes (calibres less than 40), akin to young vegetables.
For best results, lightly simmer in salted water for 8/10 minutes, strain, and allow to rest for at least 20 minutes to allow the natural starch to firm up. Serve warm with melted butter or olive oil, fresh herbs, fleur de sel, and freshly ground black pepper.
Linzer Délicatesse work really well as an accompaniment to light fish dishes, king cab and cavair.

All items leave our facility in perfect condition with a good use-by date. Please consider this when selecting your delivery date. Once dispatched, the package is under the responsibility of our couriers, making it difficult to change the delivery address or expedite delays.
