La Ratte du Touquet potatoes are prized French fingerling potatoes with a Protected Designation of Origin. These small, elongated tubers boast firm, waxy yellow flesh with a distinct nutty flavour and subtle chestnut notes that have earned them cult status among chefs.
These gourmet potatoes maintain their shape perfectly when cooked and offer a uniquely silky texture with a delicate skin. Their exceptional buttery taste comes from the specific terroir of the Touquet region, making them a true French delicacy.
Roast at 180°C with olive oil and fleur de sel until golden, or simmer skin-on in salted water for 20 minutes. For best texture, allow to cool for 20 minutes after cooking, then optionally remove skins. Serve warm with black pepper, melted butter and fine herbs.
