Savour the exceptional quality of our Poulet de Racan, a premium French chicken cherished by gastronomes worldwide. These white hens with distinctive blue legs are born and raised outdoors in the picturesque Pays de Racan, in the heart of the Loire Valley. Fed on non-GMO cereals and wild berries, these free-range birds develop a unique flavour profile that rivals guinea fowl, delighting even the most discerning palates.

Poulet de Racan is renowned for its firm, succulent meat and rich taste. Raised to the highest welfare standards, these chickens benefit from a natural diet and stress-free environment, resulting in superior texture and flavour. Their exceptional quality has earned them a place on the menus of Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe.

For best results: Roast whole with herbs and lemon for a classic Sunday lunch, or joint and use in various dishes. For a simple yet delicious meal, roast at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes per 500g, plus an additional 20 minutes, until the juices run clear.

Wine pairing from our cellar selection: Pair with a light Pinot Noir such as François Millet & Fils Lues Rues. For white wine try Cigalus Blanc.

Preparation: All of our poultry is expertly prepared in-house. We process each bird on the day it arrives from France, ensuring maximum freshness. Using traditional trussing techniques, we carefully bind the birds into the ideal shape for oven roasting. This method closes any cavities, promoting even cooking throughout. Please note that these birds are oven-ready and do not include giblets, making them convenient for immediate use in your kitchen.

Frozen Poultry: For optimum freshness, we prepare our poultry immediately upon arrival from our suppliers. Each bird is carefully wrapped and rapidly frozen to -30°C using a blast freezer. This advanced quick-freezing method prevents the formation of ice crystals within the meat, ensuring the bird remains in perfect condition when defrosted. As a result, you can expect exceptional quality and cooking results, preserving the premium taste and texture of our Poultry.

Orders placed before 2 PM (Monday to Friday) are eligible for same-day dispatch, unless you choose a specific future delivery date during checkout.

We use reliable third-party express courier services and high-quality insulated packaging. However, delays can occur, so we package items to ensure they remain in excellent condition.

If you need your delivery on a specific day, please mention this in the notes section on the checkout page. We may advise alternative options, such as dispatching your order a day earlier to ensure timely arrival.

All items leave our facility in perfect condition with a good use-by date. Please consider this when selecting your delivery date. Once dispatched, the package is under the responsibility of our couriers, making it difficult to change the delivery address or expedite delays.

We do offer Saturday delivery, but please note that our couriers do not operate phone support at weekends, and our customer service is closed. For time-sensitive deliveries, we recommend choosing a weekday to allow us to address any issues promptly.
