Quail are small, and delicate game birds that originated from the pheasant family, and are often sought for their delicate flavour and texture. The meat is much more succulent than that of grouse but similar in appearance. The meat can be cooked by roasting, grilling, or braising and served as the main ingredient of the meal or as a flavourful addition to stews.
Typical of smaller wildfowl, the meat is lean so would be best prepared with moist heat or barding, which consists of strips of fat or bacon around the meat to prevent it from drying out during cooking, the key to cooking quail is to cook quickly and allow time to rest.

All items leave our facility in perfect condition with a good use-by date. Please consider this when selecting your delivery date. Once dispatched, the package is under the responsibility of our couriers, making it difficult to change the delivery address or expedite delays.
