OBSIBLUE PRAWNS 1kg
OBSIBLUE PRAWNS - SASHIMI GRADE
Obsiblue prawns are a result of an unlikely encounter between a rare species and an exceptional environment, resulting in a deep blue iridescent colour that reflects the pure and crystal water from where they come. Renowned for their sweetness and succulent texture, Obsiblue Prawns offer a taste experience unlike any other, with a hint of umami and a buttery finish, they are not only delicious but visually stunning as well.
Obsiblue prawns have juicy, crunchy flesh that boasts sweet and sour flavours, and they remain firm when cooked. Their unique briny-sweet flavour is often compared to that of lobster or langoustine rather than prawns. With their subtle and balanced taste, creamy texture, and richness in Omega3, raw Obsiblue prawns are undeniably delicious and are sure to leave a lasting impression.
Obsiblue Prawns make a great appetiser and can be added to a colourful seafood pasta, or can be grilled with fresh vegetables for a tasty main course. You can also use basic Asian cooking ingredients like ginger and lemongrass to prepare them in endless ways. The softness and finesse of Obsiblue prawns stand out when served raw, and the Obsiblue is the only French prawn that is recognised as a quality prawn for “sashimi” in Japan.
Sourced directly from the azure depths of the largest lagoon on the west coast of New Caledonia, Obsiblue Prawns are a testament to the artisanal craftsmanship of our trusted producers. Harvested with the utmost care, the Obsiblue benefits from real biodiversity and a superb environment, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. To respect the natural growth of the species, the farming method is ultra-soft, and its harvest is traditional. Less than a hundred tons are harvested each year at their maturity by small producers who have been committed for 30 years to a production process similar to that of a great vintage.
