Black rice originates from China but is now grown in particular areas of the Po Valley. It is a pleasantly aromatic brown rice that cooks in 40 minutes, releasing a special aroma between sandalwood and freshly baked bread. The black color is a rare feature. Legend has it that in the past the Chinese peasants cultivated it only for the emperor and his court who appreciated it for its nutritional and aphrodisiac properties (hence being given the name of forbidden rice)
We would suggest boiling and seasoning with oil or butter or use as a side dish for meat and fish dishes.

All items leave our facility in perfect condition with a good use-by date. Please consider this when selecting your delivery date. Once dispatched, the package is under the responsibility of our couriers, making it difficult to change the delivery address or expedite delays.
We do offer Saturday delivery, but please note that our couriers do not operate phone support at weekends, and our customer service is closed. For time-sensitive deliveries, we recommend choosing a weekday to allow us to address any issues promptly.
