Producer: Alexander vs The Ham Factory is a playful and innovative project from the renowned Spanish winemaker Germán R. Blanco. Known for his work with Quinta Milú, Blanco brings his expertise to this unique wine, which pays homage to the traditional pairing of Spanish red wine with cured ham. The grapes are sourced from old Tempranillo vines in Castilla y León, cultivated using sustainable practices. Blanco's minimalist winemaking approach, including the use of native yeasts and gentle extraction, allows the true character of the Tempranillo grape and its terroir to shine through. This 2018 vintage exemplifies Blanco's talent for creating approachable yet characterful wines that challenge conventional perceptions of Spanish reds.
